Our Fifth Year

Dear Fellow Congregant(s):

Congregation Shir Shalom was founded in 2012 from a formation of two great synagogues rich in tradition. Temple Beth Am, a reform Temple and Temple Sinai, a Reconstructionist Temple. It’s the first such merger of Reform and Reconstructionist branches of Judaism in the country. Both Synagogues were in existence for over 50 years. Temple Beth Am had over 525 congregants and Temple Sinai had over 175 congregants at the time of the merger. It was an incredible union as both Lay Leadership and Professional Staff came together to make the merger a smooth transition.

As our 5th year begins, we are now creating our own history along with a new and exciting clergy team. Our Religious School continues to create programs that meet the needs of our ever changing family lifestyles. We have fun events for every age group. There is something going on at Shir Shalom all the time. We are always looking for volunteers to help make Shir Shalom a second home for themselves and the entire congregation. The Board of Trustees is very proud of the fact that we are an all-inclusive Congregation, one that is warm and welcoming to everyone.

If you ever have any suggestions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me, I am here for you.

Sincerely,

Todd Sugarman
President
