SOLOMONS – Evelyn M. (103 1/2) of Ossining, New York passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.One of the founders of Temple Beth Am, she was a Past President of the Sisterhood, a former member of the choir, On the  Rabbi Search Commitees, Temple Beth Am Caterer for events  and many of the other committees for years.She was widowed 3 times and was a partner with Samuel Arnovitz for 35 years who is now deceased.Evelyn’s husbands who predeceased her were Lee Singer, Monroe (Bud) Edelman, and Alvin Solomons. Her son, Stuart Singer also predeceased her. He was the first Bar Mitzvah of Temple Beth Am and in the first Confirmation class.Evelyn is survived by her daughter Gail Singer Ruhlman,her son-in-law Robert ( Rudy) Ruhlman,Her daughter-in-law, Angelica Singer, her Granddaughters, Amy Ruhlman Diamond, son-in-law Paul Geoffrey Diamond, Alison Singer and Lora Elizabeth Ann Singer. She is survived by her great-great grandchildren Zachary Diamond, Luke Diamond and Citrine Chavez.

SPEIER – Eric Scott Of Amherst, NY on September 29, 2019. Beloved son of Clarice (Ceasy) and the late Alfred Speier; father of Adam; brother of Robin (Marc) Adel, David (Jennifer) Speier, and Jody Dietz; beloved uncle of Kimberly (Brandon) Bratek, Rachel Adel, Jared and Eli Dietz; also survived by countless friends and family. Eric was an avid Buffalo Sports fan as well as a fan of the NY Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, and Michigan Wolverines. Eric had a passion for music which was evident in his vast music collection, and attendance at hundreds of concerts during his lifetime. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. PATICOFF, Lila (née Leshaw) of Delray Beach, FL (formerly of Dix Hills, NY) died on June 11, 2019. Lila was born on June 1, 1930. Beloved wife of Henry Paticoff, adored mother of Mindy (David Weinman), Gary (Harmony) Paticoff, Kenneth (Melissa) Paticoff, loving grandmother of Amy (Chris Napolitano), Sara Weinman, Megan (Ryan Burch), Mollie Paticoff,  Kyra, Logan & Cole Paticoff, cherished great grandmother of  Gia, CJ & Colton Napolitano. 

Funeral services were held on June 16, 2019 at New Montefiore cemetery on Long Island.

GOLDSTEIN – Marion (nee Zucker) Marion Zucker Goldstein was born in Berlin, Germany April 30, 1932, to Julian and Gertrude Zucker. She was in the Netherlands in hiding during the Nazi occupation. She came with her parents and sister to the United States in 1946. She completed high school at Forest Hills High School, college at Queens College, masters from the University of Illinois and was one of three women in the first graduating class of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatric residency at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and had a successful career in Pittsburgh in both private practice and community mental health. She moved to Buffalo for a position on the faculty SUNY Buffalo as a geriatric psychiatrist and was a pioneer in the field, practicing, training and mentoring the first generation of board certified Geriatric psychiatrists. She was made a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and served as president of the American Women Psychiatrists. She is survived by her daughters Lillian Schapiro and Naomi Goldstein, three granddaughters Ruth, Rebecca and Sarah Schapiro, son-in-law Robert Schapiro and niece Deborah Franklin and her son Edward. A graveside service will be held 2 PM on Tuesday, March 19, at Linden Hills Cemetery. Arrangements by DRESSLER’S JEWISH FUNERAL CARE, 770-451-4999.

There will be a Memorial Service at Congregation Shir Shalom on Thursday, March 21st at 10:00am.
